Pact is now able to provide individual quality of life report cards for each client, using data from Pact’s client outcomes tool.
The outcomes tool is a short survey that measures clients’ quality of life, which support workers and clients complete together every three months. The survey asks clients to rate how much they agree with a series of statements (such as "I like the people I live with" and "I have learnt new skills"), using a scale ranging from "strongly agree" to "strongly disagree", then to provide any comments about their ratings. Statements are grouped into eight different life domains (eg relationships, community participation and happiness) which cover the whole of clients’ life experiences and give Pact a picture of clients ’ quality of life at this point in time.
With the new report cards, each card shows nine main "worms" (line-graphs) that indicate people’s quality of life over the last year and a half. Domain names are hyperlinked so that so staff can click on them and get more detail about the ratings.
Pact strategic analyst Steve Catty says the report cards will give staff a great overview clients’ quality of life, allowing them to ask specific questions of themselves |
