Pact’s role as a sector leader has been illustrated by being awarded a Ministry of Health contract to help other non government organisations (NGOs) to become compliant in a new electronic reporting system.

The PRIMHD (Programme for the Integration of Mental Health Data) project required all district health boards and the country’s four largest NGOs to submit client data electronically last year. This year the next largest 20 NGOs were asked to submit data electronically and Pact is part of this group.

Such has been Pact’s success with PRIMHD, the Ministry of Health has awarded us a contract, via the Otago District Health Board, to help smaller NGOs in Otago and Southland become PRIMHD ready. Pact is waiting to hear the key deliverables of the contract however it is expected to run for about 18 months.

Pact director of operations Donald Shand says the awarding of this contract is recognition of Pact’s capability as an innovator as well as sector leader. “And it’s a signal of confidence in us as a credible provider,” says Donald.
