Pact West Coast has been asked by West Coast District Health Board to be part of a national benchmarking programme.
The Key Performance Indicator Framework for New Zealand Mental Health and Addiction Services involves district health boards from around New Zealand and their partner NGOs (non-government organisations). The WCDHB has asked Pact West Coast to be its partner NGO.
The Ministry of Health says the framework’s aim is to promote national quality improvement efforts. It is intended that it will lead to active benchmarking, where services can learn from each other about the practices that lead to improved outcomes for service users.
The framework was developed over 12 months and the development was provider-led to ensure the framework is grounded in a quality approach to mental health and addiction service provision in New Zealand.
